Your Travel Memories is the natural extension of owner Laura Kay House's lifelong passion for travel and more than 35 years of experience in the travel industry.

​

Laura Kay's love of travel began at an early age while exploring the world with her family. After earning her bachelor's degree, she enjoyed a 17-year career as a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines. During that time, she traveled extensively throughout the United States and around the world—not only for work, but also by taking full advantage of her travel benefits.

​

From gliding through the canals of Venice in a gondola, strolling the historic streets of Florence, and attending a Mozart concert in Salzburg, to enjoying High Tea at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia, riding the legendary Orient Express from London, and visiting all 50 states, each journey deepened her appreciation for discovering new places, cultures, and experiences.

In 2007, Laura Kay founded Silver Connections, an award-winning membership organization serving active single adults age 55 plus throughout North Carolina's Triangle region. For nearly two decades, Silver Connections has brought thousands of people together through local events, social activities, and group travel while fostering lasting friendships and meaningful experiences.

Building on that success, Laura Kay created Your Travel Memories, a company dedicated exclusively to providing exceptional group travel experiences for all adults age 55 and over. Her years of travel planning have strengthened her commitment to creating memorable, worry-free travel experiences designed specifically for this vibrant generation.

Laura Kay's professional background is equally unique. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Master's degree in Gerontology, giving her specialized knowledge of the social, psychological, and biological aspects of aging. She is also a certified Collette Travel Specialist, having successfully completed extensive training and certification focused on group travel planning.

​
